I'm doing Inkhaven
I cannot speak, so I must write.
I am recovering after voice-surgery, and cannot speak for two months, including the entirety of April. I have so much to write about in all the different spheres of life, 1 post a day will not be enough for me.
I’ve been doing deep dives into topics often but leave my findings as small notes to myself. I’ve been doing AI safety research in the interim between GPT-3 and Opus 4.6, and seen the steady fast progress. I’ve been trying to sort out all my thoughts and process things and improve my life and made rapid progress, and been massively friend-maxxing.
I am interested in so many things to different levels: TTS reading, longevity, cryonics, energy markets, progress studies, mechanistic interpretability, compute infrastructure, transgender, experimental medicine, teaching at ARENA, what’s missing in ai safety, nice beverages and tea, gaming, physics, biochemistry/endocrinology, how to work when you have booms and busts, ethics, private journalling, sharing your private thoughts, ai image generation, blind-spots in current AI capabilities, etc.
My plan is to have some mix of writing across 3 main areas:
technical topics in AI Safety and related
writing that is more personal
synthesis of my reading on other technical topics
I am looking forward to write for all of inkhaven and finally have a space for all of these things.
